Weird Al Yankovic - Bad Hair Day
Weird Al Yankovic is possibly one of the greatest artists of all time.
Seriously, this guy can do it all.
It is a shame how many people steal from him though. Oh sure, they change the words, but there's some songs that the music is almost verbatim stolen from Weird Al.
And from hugely famous artists, stealing from this musical genius is just petty. On this album alone, I noticed hugely successful bands have completely ripped off this maestro.
Acts such as TLC, Nirvana, and U2 have pirated Mr. Yankovic pretty blatantly. Just disgusting.
Still, Weird Al is a saintly man. Not even litigating against Coolio for his parody of the great song “Amish Paradise”.
Sure you could call Coolio's version a parody, but let's be honest here. He just stole Weird Al’s music.
I can hardly wait to hear more of what Weird Al will give us in the future. I fully plan on listening to this artist in further detail, and I have a feeling you can expect plenty more reviews on this pioneer of original sound.
Bad Hair Day is an aural epic, making the cortex of your mind travel through an adventure of witty lyrical content, and truly inspiring musical creation. More artists need to play accordion and mix it into their music.
It speaks volumes when all the supposed greats are taking material from a relative unknown. This is absolutely one of the best albums of our generation.
Weird Al, my hat is off to you, sir. But perhaps you should consider stronger copyrights on your music, it's obvious I'm not the only one who appreciates its originality.
